What V-IZ gives you

The complete German course with the Hueber book “Schritte plus Neu”. You practise pronunciation, letters and dialogues with the AI trainer. Plus a B1 exam simulation. Everything you need for telc, Goethe or ÖSD.

What V-IZ does NOT do

We do not issue certificates. The official exam centre does that. You pay the exam fee (about 110 to 360 €, depending on the level) directly there.

Common questions about the exam

Which exam is easier, telc or Goethe?

Both are equally recognised. telc is often cheaper and available in more cities. Goethe has a very strong name, especially abroad.

What does the exam cost?

Depending on the level and provider, between 110 € (A1) and 359 € (C2). B1 costs around 130–260 €.

How long is my certificate valid?

The certificate itself does not expire. But: embassies for family reunification often only accept certificates that are no older than 1 year.

Does V-IZ pay for the exam?

No. You pay the exam fee directly at the exam centre. V-IZ is the preparation course. The exam runs separately.

Does V-IZ prepare me for the exam?

Yes. V-IZ trains you in all four areas listening, reading, writing and speaking, with a video course, AI trainer and the Hueber coursebook, from A1 to B1.
